We recently did a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where I wanted some professional photos taken during our trip. Little did I know (ok, maybe I had a small suspicion) that my boyfriend would propose to me during our photo session. These pictures came out PHENOMENAL. She got the exact moment he dropped on one knee and everything. We then did an entire shoot following the proposal. I am a professional photographer myself, so let me tell you: I am extremely picky. Honestly, photographers probably make the worst models. Dani did a wonderful job of both posed portraits looking and smiling, but also including cute, candid, and intimate moments. She was excellent at picking spots right on the street as we walked by them. Best photographer ever!! My husband and I hired Dani for a 50th anniversary family photo shoot. We had never had professional family photos taken before and thought our 50th was the time! We already knew Dani from our church, so she was the natural choice for our shoot. I first met Dani through my husband, who is also a photographer. We needed someone to shoot our maternity photos and of all the photographers he knew he said she was the best choice for our needs. I could not have been happier with the shoot itself and especially how the photos came out. They are incredible! Because I liked the maternity shots so much, Dani became our go-to photographer. We’ve used her for family portrait sessions and a mother/daughter session that was difficult for many reasons. Dani photographed the rehearsal dinner, the night before our friend’s wedding. She had a chill vibe and the photos came out great. I appreciated her photography method: the way she mixed natural light with some studio lighting that she added, using only natural light when it worked, and switching between casual candid photos and posed photos when necessary. Looking through the gallery, I noticed that she had taken a posed picture of the future bride and groom, but before she did, she had set up the shot with a test of another couple. I think this shows a lot of consideration for the time of the wedding couple, and that kind of respect is really valuable in a photographer.
